MEET THE TEAM THAT BRINGS YOU THE T-BOLTS ON THE INTERNET

JOE CHAMBERS, BROADCASTER
Joe Chambers, a Woodstock, Maryland native, is a product of Mt. St. Joseph's High School in Baltimore and Mt. St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg. While at Mt. St. Joseph's, Joe broadcast Gael basketball beginning in 2021. Joe also contributed to several podcasts.

When he is not broadcasting or podcasting, he plies his trade as the Second Assistant Golf Professional at the Waverly Woods Golf Club. While at Mt. St. Joe's, he was a two-time winner of the C.  Markland Kelly Athletic Service Award and Alumni Association Award for Extra Curricular Achievement and Exceptional School Spirit.

LIAM ERVIN, BROADCASTER
Liam comes to the Bolts from the University of Southern California (Class of 2027) by way of Washington, D.C. He was the lead commentator for the Jackson-Reed (formerly Woodrow Wilson) High School's Tiger TV Channel, where in 2022, he was named Best Commentator of the Year. He played two years of varsity baseball and six years with a travel team. He went to the Dominican Republic and helped build a baseball field and deliver over 2000 pounds of baseball equipment.

MICHAEL HOWES, GAME REPORTER
Michael Howes, from the University of Maryland (Class of 2026), has been a sportswriter for several Terp teams beginning in his freshman year of 2022. He covered field hockey, baseball, and women's basketball and created and hosted a Terps sports podcast, Under the Shell. Last August, he was named Sports General Assignment Beat Writer for the student newspaper, The Diamondback, where, in addition to women's basketball, he covers tennis, golf, cross-country, baseball, and track. 

NEAL LAVON BROADCASTER/DIRECTOR OF MEDIA
Neal has been calling Thunderbolts games on and off for 17 years on internet radio, Takoma Park City TV, and talking about the T-Bolts on Takoma Park’s WOWD-FM. He manages the systems to broadcast all Thunderbolt regular season and playoff games both home and away, and did public address announcing for the Thunderbolts before moving into broadcasting. He also contributes to the Program, produces Gameday Rosters, and maintains the team’s website. Neal is a member of the Thunderbolts Board of Directors. He lives in Takoma Park, Maryland, not far from Blair Stadium. He retired from the Voice of America in 2014 after 35 years as an on-air host and writer.
