BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES

The Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts baseball team plays in June and July at Montgomery Blair Baseball Stadium. The Thunderbolts is a non-profit community organization incorporated in Maryland whose goals include assisting local youth baseball organizations and improving baseball fields in the downcounty area. You can help support the operation of the team and the achievement of these goals in a number of ways:

1. Business Ads Take out an ad in our Season Program.
The Program will have information about the Thunderbolts (including pictures and short biographies of the players and coaches), the league schedule, field directions and feature articles.

Rates (based on an 5.5 x 8.5 inch page) are as follows:

Business Card: $100 | 1/4 page: $200 | 1/2 page: $330 | Full page: $430

We will distribute the Program, without charge, to people attending our home games. In the Program and at our home games, we will urge Thunderbolts fans to patronize the businesses of our supporters. You will also receive free tickets, good for any regular season home game.

2. Business Night Sponsor individual Thunderbolts home games.
As a Game Sponsor (we will have one per game except Opening Day) you will be listed in Thunderbolts publicity (including press releases, our web page, newspaper ads, the brochure containing the schedule and the Season Program) and identified over the public address system throughout the game you sponsor. You will also receive free tickets, good for any regular season home game.

You may also provide business promotions (for example, discount coupons) at the game. Sign up before April 1 and receive a 10% discount (except Opening Day).

3. Raffles Donate a raffle item to promote your business.
At each home game we will sell raffle tickets for 7-10 items to be given away that night. We will acknowledge your contribution at the game. If you make a commitment to provide raffle items before the publication of the Season Program, we will acknowledge your contribution in there as well.

4. Boosters Club
Advertise your business in our program and web site as a Thunderbolts Booster.

Diamond Club Level is $500 | Contributor Level is $250 | Donor Level is $100

5. Banners Buy a banner at Montgomery Blair Baseball Stadium
Advertise your business on a banner on the outfield fence or inside the stadium which will be displayed throughout the season. The outfield banner can be 8' wide x 5' high. You will also receive free tickets good for any regular season home game.  The advertiser is responsible for providing the banner. Call (301) 270-0598 for rates. Multi-year discounts are available.

6. Call to the bullpen
Advertise your business each time a new pitcher is brought into the game. In addition, your business will be listed in the season program and you will also receive free tickets good for any regular season home game. Call (301) 270-0598 for rates.

7. On-Field Youth Activities
Advertise your business each time on-field youth activities are held during Thunderbolts games. For example, in past years we have featured two rounds of races around the bases (usually between the fourth and fifth innings), where kids were selected from the stands to participate. Your business will be announced as the sponsor of these events, and will be listed in our newspaper ads, in our program, and on our web site. These events are very popular with our fans.
