Tbolts lose 4-2;
play Youse's Orioles on July 9
July 7 |The Thunderbolts lost to the Big Train 4-2 on Sunday night at a wet Blair Stadium. The Thunderbolts out-hit the Big Train 10-3, but also gave up 10 walks (3 intentional) and committed three errors. Brett Conner (William & Mary) and Jabari Graham (Alcorn State) each had two hits. Matt Trent (Richmond) gave up one earned run over six innings, but ended up taking the loss. The team's record is now 11-12. BOXSCORE.
The next two home games are Wednesday, July 9 against Youse's Orioles and Friday, July 11 against the Rockville Express. The July 11 game is sponsored by RaffertyWeiss Media.

Book a Party
Reserve early to get a date for our game day parties. Celebrate a birthday, family reunion or have a party with friends. We can accommodate groups from 6-100 each night. Food, drinks and game day tickets are included in the package. Reserve your date early as game days sell out quickly. For details and order form, click here.
We have current openings for volunteers to help with marketing and public relations for the team. The marketing volunteer will work 5-10 hours per week. We also need volunteers to help with game day activities. We request that volunteers sign up for at least 5 games to work. Game day volunteer orientation will be held in early June. Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League
The Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts are a charter member of the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League. The eight-team collegiate wooden bat league is comprised of teams throughout Maryland and Virginia who play a 40-game regular season in June and July each year. The Cal Ripken, Sr. Collegiate Baseball League has a license agreement with the Cal Ripken, Sr. Foundation for the use of the name Cal Ripken, Sr. and is not affiliated with nor sponsored by the Foundation or Ripken Baseball.
