The Thunderbolts offers a limited number of batkid positions to boys and girls between the ages of 9-13. Batkids play an important role in the team’s home games, and work from 6 to 11 p.m. at their assigned games with the coach, players and interns. Each batkid is assigned to work 3-5 home games depending on how many are selected for the program. Additionally, at home games, T-Bolts batkids may serve as the batkid for the opposing team (good sportsmanship is a core value of the T-Bolts). Certain away games also are available to batkids, but a parent must provide transportation to and from the game and remain at the game at all times. Batkid positions are unpaid and parents must sign a waiver of liability form. SSL hours are available to middle school students who complete the season in good standing.
The league season runs from June 6 – July 28.
