The Silver Spring-Takoma Thunderbolts 2013 home season is just around the corner. Players arrive May 30th and there’s several chances to meet the new T-Bolts prior to opening night June 6th.
June 1st is the SECOND ANNUAL HIGH SCHOOL MIXED TEAM SCRIMMAGE. T-Bolts and local high school seniors and alumni (Blair, Northwood, and Springbrook) will scrimmage beginning at 7 pm. If you want to participate, let is know. Admission is free.
Join us June 2nd at Blair Stadium for the FOURTH ANNUAL THUNDERBOLTS FUN DAY. Fun day runs from 1-4 pm. It’s a free baseball clinic for kids 7-15 with special activities and prizes.
June 3rd the T-Bolts scrimmage the Gaithersburg Giants at Blair Stadium. First pitch 7 pm. Admission is free.
June 4th the T-Bolts scrimmage the Rockville Express at Blair Stadium. First pitch 7 pm. Admission is free.
OPENING NIGHT Join us Thursday June 6th at Blair Stadium (7 pm, gates open at 6 pm) as the T-Bolts take on the Gaithersburg Giants. The Giants are one of two new teams playing in the Cal Ripken Collegiate Baseball League this season. The other team is the Presstmen Cardinals who will play their home games at Joe Cannon Stadium in Harmans, Maryland during the 2013 baseball season. The Gaithersburg Giants play their home games at Kelley Park in the City of Gaithersburg. With the addition of the Giants and the Cardinals, the CRCBL now has 12 teams, with each team playing each other team four times, for a 44 game season.
